VIETNAMESE BIOPHYSICAL SOCIETY SCIENCE AWARDS 2026

Article 1. Candidate Eligibility

• The candidate must be a member of the Vietnamese Biophysical Society (VBS) at the time of application.
• The candidate must be a principal author (first author/co-first author; corresponding author/co-corresponding author) of an original research article published in an SCIE/SCOPUS Q1 journal, in the field of biophysics or at the intersection of physics and biological/biomedical sciences. The article must not involve any violation of research ethics, copyright, or scientific integrity.
• The article must have been published online or in print during the period from July 14, 2025 to July 14, 2026.

Article 2. Award Categories for Nomination/Self-Nomination

2.1. Outstanding Young Biophysicist Award

• The candidate must meet the eligibility requirements specified in Article 1 above.
• The candidate must be under 40 years of age as of the closing date of the award evaluation period and must not be eligible for consideration for the Outstanding Student Research in Biophysics Award.

2.2. Outstanding Student Research in Biophysics Award

• The candidate must meet the eligibility requirements specified in Article 1 above.
• At the time of evaluation, the candidate must be a final-year undergraduate student, master’s student, or doctoral student, studying in Vietnam or abroad.

Article 3. Application Submission

Applicants must submit the following documents:

• A concise academic/scientific CV following the template issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology under Decision No. 588/QD-BKHCN dated March 31, 2014.
• One representative SCIE/SCOPUS Q1 research article published during the period from July 14, 2025 to July 14, 2026 for award consideration.
• A brief description of the research work and the candidate’s contribution, with a maximum length of 500 words.
• Application deadline: September 10, 2026.
• The electronic application package (PDF) should be submitted to:

Candidates selected for the award by the VBS Award Selection Council will receive a certificate, award trophy, and cash prize in accordance with the regulations of the Vietnamese Biophysical Society.

The Award Ceremony will be held during the International Conference on Nano Life Science: Nano Biotechnology, Biophysics and Computational Science (NanoBioCoM2026), September 15–18, 2026, at ICISE, Quy Nhon Nam Ward, Gia Lai Province, Vietnam.
