The Vietnam Biophysical Society (VBS) respectfully invites you to join a national scientific community connecting scientists, lecturers, graduate students, and experts who are interested in researching and developing interdisciplinary approaches between Physics and Biology.
Biophysics is an exciting interdisciplinary field that combines the principles and methods of both theoretical and applied physics to study physical laws, biological phenomena, and transformations in living systems. It provides an essential foundation for a deeper understanding of the structure and functioning mechanisms of biological molecules, cells, and living systems, thereby opening up numerous applications in medicine, biotechnology, and bio-nanomaterials.
Benefits of Membership
The Vietnam Biophysical Society aims to promote the development of physics–biology research in Vietnam, strengthen academic exchange and international collaboration, and apply research outcomes to practice. Each year, the Society organizes scientific conferences, training courses, and specialized publications, while also building networks to support members in various aspects of the field.
In addition to exchange and international cooperation activities, the Society strives to collaborate with companies, universities, research institutes, hospitals, and organizations both domestically and internationally to provide members with access to advanced biomedical physics equipment within its network. This enables researchers, students, and businesses to enhance research capacity, experiment with new technologies, and apply modern physical equipment in practical projects. These connections also open opportunities for interdisciplinary research collaboration, project implementation, and technology transfer in biomedical and biophysical fields.
Members also have the opportunity to participate in annual awards organized by the Vietnam Biophysical Society to encourage and recognize outstanding contributions in biophysics. These may include Student Awards, Young Scientist Awards, and Official Awards, along with certificates, trophies, and financial support for research, conferences, or scientific activities.
